Once again this summer, Landaas & Company is employing college interns to support our professional staff and learn about customer-focused, independent investment advice. Joining us this summer are:
Emma Anderson
Emma just completed her first year at The George Washington University, in Washington, D.C. She is studying international affairs and Spanish and hopes to study in South America.
Emma was part of the international politics cohort of the Women’s Leadership Program at George Washington. She also played on the women’s ultimate Frisbee team and worked as a mentor for D.C. schoolchildren learning about entrepreneurship.
A graduate of Cedarburg High School, where she was captain of the varsity dance team, Emma’s hobbies include snowboarding, photography, dance, and boating on Lake Winnebago. She also is a regular volunteer usher with the Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
“I am very excited to be working at Landaas & Company,” Emma says, “and am looking forward to a great summer with the firm!”
Clare McNamara
Clare is a senior at Marquette University, where she is majoring in finance and international business. She is part of the Applied Investment Management Program, which selects students to actively manage an investment portfolio for Marquette.
Clare also is secretary of Marquette’s Women in Business and a member of the Financial Management Association. In the fall of 2014, Clare studied in Barcelona, Spain.
A graduate of Oconomowoc High School, where she was captain of the varsity tennis and lacrosse teams, Clare enjoys playing tennis and golf and running along Lake Michigan.
Clare says she plans to “learn more about the industry from talented professionals” at Landaas & Company and expects to benefit from knowing more about financial planning and investing for individuals. “I have always enjoyed working with people,” Clare says.

Ryan Bruders
Ryan was a teenager busing tables at a popular steakhouse in Brookfield when a broken wrist forced him to work as a host instead. The switch showed Ryan how much he enjoyed interacting with customers.
As a finance major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Ryan considered going into real estate management. Then he started working as an intern at Landaas & Company, which reminded him that he enjoys serving clients.
“I still like numbers and the technical aspects of finance,” Ryan says, “but I really like being able to apply all that to people and helping them reach their goals.”
Ryan is an alumnus of Brookfield Central High School and plans to graduate from the UW in December 2016. He says he enjoys playing golf, fishing and “basically anything outdoors.”
