Congratulations to the Dads Open Classic Scramble, which gathered a record number of golfers and chipped in more than $5,000 to First Tee Southeast Wisconsin. Get it? Chipped in!
More than 80 golfers enjoyed ideal weather Sept. 9 at Washington County Golf Course, in Hartford, Wis. For the event. With fees, auction bids and sponsorships, the group contributed the most in its three years to First Tee, which makes golf more accessible and affordable to underprivileged youth.
“We are so thankful for the Dads Open Classic Scramble for their continued support of First Tee — Southeast Wisconsin,” said David Cohn, executive director of the charity. “We love to see so many golfers come out for a fun day on the course and go above and beyond to support our work and share the game with more kids in our community. A huge thank you to all of the players and sponsors, including Landaas & Company, for their generous commitment to our young people.”
Kendall Bauer was one of the organizers of the event.
Landaas & Company also was a sponsor of the Swing Fore the Kettle Golf Invitational Sept. 18, benefiting the Salvation Army of Milwaukee County.
And on Sept. 30, Landaas & Company was a sponsor of the annual gala for the Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin, where Dave Sandstrom volunteers as a board director.
