Terri Hatcliff is a people-focused problem solver.
“If I wasn’t in the finance world, I think I’d be a psychologist of some sort or in a counselor setting,” Terri says.
She remembers being shy as a schoolgirl, feeling left out and bullied. What turned her around was deciding to engage with other shy kids.
“I learned from my own experiences. I was kind of picking out the person who was the quietest in the room and going and talking with them, making them feel comfortable,” Terri explains. “I feel like if you can make someone smile, the rest of their day is OK. Because, you never know what’s going on in people’s lives.”
Terri grew up in Nebraska and northern Illinois. After working in a warehouse, then getting into medical coding and billing, Terri established herself at a multi-state credit union. She advanced from the call center to supervising and managing financial operations, overseeing customer experiences that spanned from opening an account to investing, to eventually passing along assets to heirs.
At Landaas & Company, Terri seeks to further her passion for providing solutions to people’s financial situations.
“At the end of the day,” she says, “it’s what you do to help other people.”
Terri lives in Cedarburg with her partner, Daniel, and their dogs, Louie, a boxer, and Willow, a rescued pit mix. Terri enjoys line dancing, volleyball, playing cards and hanging out with close friends. She considers herself a social butterfly, but she’d like to do more solo traveling.
