Jaquese Hyatt lives by the motto of her elementary school: Treat others as you’d like to be treated.
“That’s carried with me,” Jaquese says. “That’s just who I am by nature.”
Jaquese has had a breadth of job experience to practice the golden rule. She has worked in customer service in various capacities for a telecommunication company, an office furniture outlet, a pizza franchiser and a dental group. As a student, she worked in the admissions offices of Rock Valley College, in Rockford, Ill., where she received her associate degree, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications.
“I’ve just worked in so many environments where I’ve had to have that customer focus, that customer service mind-set, that it just comes easily to me,” Jaquese says.
Even when Jaquese, as a customer, encounters unpleasant service from others, she uses it as motivation.
“It’s knowing the things I don’t like and that most people wouldn’t like and saying I want to be the change for that and advocating to make those changes,” she says.
Outside of work, Jaquese enjoys reading fiction and watching independent films. She’s into music and has written a couple of songs. She lives in Milwaukee with a Maltese poodle answering to Winston.
Asked what she wants people to know about her, Jaquese says simply, “I’m here to help.”
