Congratulations to the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County for raising a record $145,000 at its May 12 Women of Distinction luncheon.
Since its establishment in 2004, the nonprofit has contributed $1.6 million to nearly 100 locally based organizations advancing the health and well-being, self-sufficiency and empowerment of women and girls.
The luncheon drew more than 600 attendees and honored:

- Sarah Grooms
- Ildiko Huppertz
- Sarah Martens
- Teresa Spencer
The 39th annual luncheon was started by the YWCA of Waukesha, from whose assets the Women and Girls Fund began. Landaas & Company was again presenting sponsor of the luncheon.
