Through diverse experience in health care, interior design and retail, Walli Uriarte honed skills for helping individuals imagine what they need and then delivering it to their satisfaction. The personal attention to detail that Walli brings to Landaas & Company clients is a value he began learning through a series of childhood houseguests.
Walli’s parents regularly housed missionaries from around the world who traveled to Milwaukee for church conferences. Walli helped his mother convert storage space in their South Side home into a welcoming guest room for the visitors. He provided hospitality for the guests, including entertaining them on the piano.
“It’s fun to take someone through an experience and they walk away feeling good or happy or joyful.,” Walli says. “They may not know why they feel the way they feel, but the experience has been carefully orchestrated and specifically tailored for that one individual.”
Throughout his career, Walli has found that paying attention to details not only engenders trust but helps prepare for the unexpected.
“Life doesn’t always happen the way we plan it out,” Walli explains, “so you can have other details looked into, just in case.”
A graduate of Greenfield High School, Walli studied interior design at the Illinois Institute of Art and the Art Institute of Wisconsin. He lives in downtown Milwaukee and enjoys early-morning workouts, music, karaoke, photography and lakefront festivals.
