As receptionist at Landaas & Company, Ashlyn Stang is a traffic controller and concierge. On the phone, she directs clients to the professional staff who will most efficiently address their questions. In the lobby, she puts visitors at ease on their way to meet their investment advisors.
Ashlyn assures everyone they’ve come to the right place and someone will take care of them.
“I can definitely tell when people feel much better once I say that,” Ashlyn says.
Ashlyn’s years as a server — including at some of Milwaukee’s finest dining venues — have honed her skills at comforting others, listening to what they need and making sure they’re satisfied.
“Given everything I’ve done in the past, all my jobs, I’ve gotten pretty good at knowing how to help people feel at ease,” she says.
Ashlyn worked as a server through high school and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in design and visual communications. She still freelances as a graphic designer and paints for enjoyment. Ashlyn also plays guitar, sings, composes and is learning to produce her own music.
