Observation and versatility served Ruth May in her television career.
A good listener with a keen eye for detail, she progressed quickly from a production coordinator at a commercial station in Madison to a story producer and editor for a syndicated show in Florida and then publicity director for a station in Milwaukee. Ruth was a writer and producer for an independent production company whose work included a series of award-winning international travel videos that aired on The Learning Channel.
She also was co-producer of the Emmy-nominated Milwaukee Public Television show “Dollar Signs,” where she worked with Bob Landaas.
“TV production requires a major team effort,” Ruth says. “I always enjoyed the variety and detail of work involved behind the camera.”
At Landaas and Company, Ruth has used her people skills and problem-solving in a variety of capacities, from connecting clients to advisors to processing transactions.
Ruth has a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a bachelor’s from UW-Madison. Ruth lives in Greenfield with her husband, Peter. She enjoys books, performing arts and travel.
