As usual, Landaas & Company is employing a work force of bright, ambitious college interns for the summer.
The experience is intended to help educate individuals who might be interested professionally in financial advising and investing and to expose them to the rigor and customer service of our practice.
The summer of 2013 interns include:
Chris Evers
Chris is a senior at Marquette University, where he is majoring in finance and economics. He is active in Marquette’s Financial Management Association, which lets him network with Marquette alumni in the financial profession.
“My analytical mindset has always drawn me to the field of finance,” Chris says. “Wealth management has provided me the vehicle in which I can fulfill my analytical curiosity while enjoying the personal touch of client interactions.”
Chris grew up in Slinger, Wis., where he played both soccer and tennis in high school. He still enjoys both sports in addition to golf and dining out as hobbies.
Tyler Johnson
Tyler is a senior at Marquette University studying finance and information technology.
“Through my natural interest in investments and my interest in helping people, I have chosen to pursue a career in financial planning,” Tyler says. “At Landaas & Company, I hope to learn from the advisors their strategies in allocating clients’ portfolios, and the skills it takes to build strong relationships with clients.”
Tyler grew up in Lake in the Hills, Ill., and attended Crystal Lake Central High School, where he participated in varsity baseball and golf. He still enjoys playing golf in addition to reading business and financial news and working out.
Lauren Seubert
Lauren is a junior at the University of Notre Dame, where she is majoring in economics and applied mathematics.
“I am very much looking forward to increasing my analytical skills in learning how key financial factors are used in the decision-making process of allocating wealth through investments,” Lauren says.
Lauren is a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, in Waukesha. She is active in the Association of Women in Mathematics and founded the Notre Dame chapter of Half the Sky Movement, a global organization committed to empowering oppressed women.
Lauren enjoys travel, running cross country, playing golf, playing piano and reading.
Connor Cain
In addition to three paid college interns, Connor has joined Landaas & Company for part of the summer through a career exploration program at The Prairie School, in Racine, where Connor is a junior.
Connor says his main interest in high school has been mathematics.
“I have had to reluctantly tell my extended families over the past holidays that I am looking to do ‘something with numbers’ as a career,” Connor says. “Obviously, the extreme broadness of that statement means that I will need to narrow my interests. Currently, I am favoring something dealing with economics, financing and investments.”
In addition to participating in multiple mathematics competitions for a number of years, Connor plays golf for The Prairie School.
