Welcome Heather Dorfler as the Landaas & Company summer 2018 intern. Heather will be supporting the firm’s professional staff and learning about providing individualized investment advice and asset allocation.
Heather is a senior at Marquette University studying finance and commercial real estate. Her previous experience includes working as a processing intern at an insurance brokerage, as an office assistant for a transportation company and as a mentor to high school students accepted into Marquette’s College of Business Administration.
“The reason I have chosen to intern at Landaas & Company is because of the strong sense of community I felt at the office,” Heather says. “Also, everyone’s shared motivation to help the clients and focus on their needs impressed me.”
Heather says she has always been interested in investments and has enjoyed all of her finance courses.
She is involved in a number of organizations at Marquette and is treasurer of the Track and Cross Country Club, which is funded by student government money and competes as a Division 3 intercollegiate team.
Originally from Richmond, Ill., Heather enjoys running and outdoor activities including motocross, wakeboarding and snowboarding. And, she says she recently learned to love cooking and baking.
