Meet our Interns
Landaas & Company will be benefiting from the contributions of college interns again this summer.
Sam Beres, a student at the University of Notre Dame, will be assisting Brian Kilb. Isabelle Denton, who studies at Marquette University, is returning to Landaas & Company for her second summer, which positions her for a variety of responsibilities.
Sam Beres
Sam is a junior at Notre Dame and grew up in Brookfield. He played basketball, baseball and football at Marquette University High School.
“Both of my parents have accounting degrees, so the business world has always garnered my interest,” Sam says. He decided on majoring in finance while taking an economics class in 2008, just as the financial collapse turned the downturn into the Great Recession.
Sam says he enjoys sports and traveling. He plans to study abroad in London next spring.
“I am excited to have the chance to intern at Landaas & Company for the summer,” he says, “and I look forward to working with everyone involved with the firm.”
Isabelle Denton
Isabelle is a senior, one school year away from graduating in finance and international business at Marquette. She also grew up in Brookfield, where she participated in cross country and track at Brookfield East High School.
“I decided to major in finance because I have always had a passion for money management and finding ways to make money grow,” Isabelle says.
“I decided to also major in international business because I love learning about other cultures and their ways of doing business. I find it fascinating how everyone interacts together throughout the world.”
In her free time, Isabelle says, she enjoys running and sailing on Lake Michigan with her family. She has been working on a scrap book of her experiences studying in Italy in the spring of 2010.
Eli Rawlinson
A third intern, Eli Rawlinson, is scheduled to join Landaas & Company in July. (Read more about Eli next month.)
